“Only when you dream it you can do it” said a 17 year old boy proudly working in a company in Yemen and my role-model. His name was Shri Dhirubhai Ambani. He started earning money at a very early age and in less than 2 years he was promoted due to his excellence. I find this very fascinating because this shows lots of determination in his work.

Despite having a promotion, Dhirubhai returned to India and started a new company called “Reliance”, with a capital of only $350. The primary business was to import polyester yarn and export spices. The business was set up in partnership with his second cousin. However, they ended their partnership in a couple of years. His cousin was a cautious trader and did not believe in building yarn inventories, while Dhirubhai was a known risk taker and he considered building inventories, anticipating a price rise, and making profits through that was good for growth. That is what I admire about him the most. He always believed “You do not require an invitation to make profits”
