• Internal – Members of other teams within the same business who been provided with a service or information
• External – individuals who are outside the business buy and use goods or use their services

Characteristics

• Age – Tesco carefully distinguish between age groups when marketing their products. Commonly accepted age groups include

usually by signing people up for club cards in which they have to write down their age. Most of the customers who shop at Tesco are around 36 - 59 and are at a mature working age.
