Introduction

The strobe leisure plc is a large multinational organisation, which has grown over the years. It provides a wide range of leisure and entertainment services, which include cinemas, bingo, holidays and ten-pin bowling

As with any large company some perform much better than others and the board of directors is particularly pleased with the continued success of the multiplex cinemas. To further improve the cinemas a considerable amount of money has been invested In the installation of a range of sophisticated computerised systems and in improving customer service.

Multinational means they have many branches in other countries around the world.

PLC means public limited company whose shares can be owned by a member of the general public or corporate investors, but they have less say in the running of the business.

I will be doing tasks 1,2,3,6 and 9. I will be looking at each of the above tasks in turn.

Task 1

For this task I will have to design an organisation chart for Strobe Leisure Plc. The organisation chart will start with shareholders and then go thought to the workers of Strobe Leisure. I will also look at all the staff of Strobe Leisure that I am concerned about and describe what role they have in the firm. The organisation chart will need to be done on the computer so that it is easier to look at.

Task 2

This task is about the aims and objectives of Strobe Leisure plc. I will Wright this as a report and I will look at the following questions, what are the aims and objectives of Strobe Leisure? What must the directors of Strobe Leisure plc do to achieve them?, and How will the running of the business be affected?

Task 3

This task is about the problems that Strobe Leisure may face. I will look at some internal and external constraints. I will state how the decisions that they make in strobe Leisure will affect the day to day running of the business.

Task 6

This task is about costs that Strobe Leisure will have to encounter. I will work out the fixed costs, the profit or the loses of Strobe Leisure which they will make if they sell X amount of tickets. I will produce a break-even chart to show this information. It will show the point at which Strobe Leisure will neither make a lose or a profit. This is called the break-even point.

Task 9

This task is about what factors motivates the workers of Strobe Leisure plc. I will conduct a survey in which I will ask people in my local town what motivates them to work. I will then write a report of what I will find out and in this report I will say why the in formation that I will collect is going to be important to me. I will do the survey in a form of an questionnaire.
