I believe that petroleum industry is one of the most important fields in my country. First of all, it is a main energy supplier. It supplies electrical power stations as well as oil-refining factories, which provides electricity and petrol for a public use. Secondly, since oil industry was developed, the economy of Kazakhstan has noticeably increased, companies has grew in size and more working places became available. As a result there was a significant reduction in unemployment and increase in demand of educated population. That is why Kazakhstan government and the oil company “KazMunaiGaz” created an educational program that gives a chance for students to gain a grant and study abroad. As a consequence, there are more specialists who provide new ideas and innovations, contributing to the development of science. This leads to another important point of petroleum industry - introducing and developing new branches of science, such as Petro-chemistry. Not only education sponsored by oil companies, but also banks, sport and environment department. These all proves that the Oil and Gas industry plays a great role in country’s’ economy, education and science.
In the recent years Kazakhstan oil and gas industry has attracted many foreign investments and improved international economic relationships. As an international exporter of oil and gas Kazakhstan trades with foreign counties such as America, Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Georgia and others. There are a lot of companies that involved in this industry. The main local “giant” corporations in Kazakhstan as “KazMunaiGaz” and “TengizChevroil”. The country also collaborates with world leading oil industries like “Shell”, “EAI”, “Chevron” and “ExxonMobil” to achieve maximum economic result. Last year the government in a partnership with “Chevron” company agreed to expand Caspian pipeline in order to increase oil export. This expansion project was commented by J. Watson, “Chevron” chairman as an “important achievement made by the leadership and support of the governments of Russia and Kazakhstan" (From the article of Adam Gibson).
To sum up, oil and gas industry takes a significant part in my country’s economy and international relationships. The government co-operates with leading petroleum companies to encourage students to become professionals, develop science and coordinate the future of the country.
