INTRODUCTION

I will carry out a report based on the result I found out from taking the health monitoring test on both of my clients. The tests included blood pressure test, lung function test resting heart rate and body mass index (BMI). I will also refer to the health screening forms both my clients filled out to help me incorporate whether they are living a healthy lifestyle. Also to contrast the information on the health screening forms and the data I have found out from taking the health monitoring test.

Resting Heart Rate

Resting heart rate is measured either with a heart rate monitor or manually in this case we measured my clients heart rate manually. I did this by asking my client to sit down for 5 minutes making sure that she is calm. I then found her pulse on her left wrist; I did this by placing my middle finger and index finger on over the pulse. I then counted the pulse for 60 seconds and recorded it. I did this 3 times and took the average one. The strengths from taking this health monitoring tests are that her resting heart rate as it is between the normal ranges which are 60-80 BPM. My first client Gail’s resting heart rate fell in the category as it was 65 BPM. Looking at my second clients results his resting heart rate was very normal as it fell in the average boundary for his age. Resting heart rate is basically the beat per minute your heart is going at when you are not taking part in any activity. This is normal increased when taken part in vigorous movement.

Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is the pressure blood exerts on the artery wall and is a clear indication of general health. Its important blood pressure is measured before exercise because it shows weather the clients at risk of a heart attack. Blood pressure is taken by a blood pressure monitor.
