In this essay I will be examining the traditional nuclear family then contrasting it with what people believe is a UN functional family. The problem with this is that is very ideologist and misleading, e.g. Parson's theory believes that the family is more functional that it actually is. Conclusion

These facts and figures show that not all families are what parsons believes to be the norm nuclear families but that many families are what are know as dis functional families. Looking at the information I have portrayed in my essay I believe that the normal social family is no longer nuclear and now more likely to be dysfunctional, I believe that soon to have a dysfunctional family will be the norm. ...read more.
