Media is the centre of democracy. Democracy is based on people voting, and people vote based on what they read and hear. And if Rupert Murdoch’s ownership reaches ¾ of the Media population then this influences a massive population in their day to day lives. This creates confusion towards the population as they don’t know if they are real facts or if they are opinions made to be facts? So this will manipulate the people’s votes. So therefore media should be reliable.
Propaganda is a type of message aimed at manipulating the opinions or behaviour of people. Often, instead of impartially providing information, propaganda can be deliberately misleading, or using logical fallacies, which, while sometimes convincing, are not necessarily valid. This reflects Rupert Murdoch as he is putting his points of view across as legitimate when it’s just his point of view.
So, overall ¾ of the world’s population is currently being politically manipulated.

Newspapers choose to either include or leave out news depending on what they think about it. This influences us as some news may seem really big, but is left out; because the owner of the newspaper doesn’t think it’s important.
What they can also do is choose where the news is placed according to them, for example their can be a headline that there has been a suicidal bomb attack and a headline of a celebrity getting caught with hit and run, the owner of the newspaper can choose to put the news of the celebrity front page and the news of the suicidal bomb attacker second, third page.
This influences us as the owner of the newspaper makes us think that the story of the celebrity is more important than the suicidal bomb attacker. This will soon manipulate the readers that the celebrity story is more significant than the story of the bomb attacker.
