know how to skate and maneuver a puck on ice. You must have the coach to plan what the players can to and also pose as a mentor to the players. You must have all these people and things an order to properly play the game. You must also have teamwork and cooperation in the game of hockey as well. Teamwork is a key factor because without teamwork you have just one individual person playing out on the ice, which would make it a losing team. The point of the game is to maneuver past many defence people to get a puck in the opposing teams net. Pierre Page once said,“A player must be able to skate, have hocky sense, able to shoot-not necessarily able to score-and have drive” Another key is the thinking part. This is an important factor in the game because with out a plan or strategy you don’t have a great game. You cannot just go out on the ice and run wherever you would like to go. No way. You must have a certain position you play. You have to learn what you have to do in that position and do it properly. You can look at old hockey footage and determine weak sides and attack that area with your greatest strengths. A hockey player must also understand all the ways a player can move so he/she can follow that and possibly block that movement. There is much pressure to do so but it is important.  Hockey is also a very popular sport. Everyone knows about it and it is played internationally. Canada is known for hockey. You can also get millions of dollars from it. For example the Maple Leaf team itself is worth 256 million dollars. It is the 3rd most expensive team in the world. All hockey players dream is to probably play for the NHL and win the Stanley cup. The Stanley cup would give a country great pride. It is a great game foe almost anybody in the country to play wheather professionally or just for fun.  Gretzky is a polain example of a good role model for all the young hockey fans. He amplifies the most perfect aspects. Lowell Cohn had said,”Some guys play hockey. Gretzky plays 40 miles per hour chess.” This quote means that he has amazing skill to maneuver the puck and skate on ice as well as plan and strategize what to do. He is strong and encourages all his teammates and respects them as well. He takes pride in his country and is a hockey legened. He always keeps calm in tight situations. He is so amazing to watch because he handles the puck so well and he can always get the puck into the net.  Hockey is such and amazing sport to both watch and play because it brings teamwork and cooperation and skill and takes willpower and physical strength to get the puck from the opposing team. You could also make a huge amount of money from it and meet new people everyday. It keeps you active and keeps you thinking and determined. Hockey is a wonderful sport to play and watch.
