The ethical and moral issue brought about because of abortion is a very large one, splitting many people with views of either ‘pro-life’ (against abortion, for the life of the unborn child) or ‘pro-choice’ (for abortion or the right to choose, the women’s personal right of what she can do with her own body). The debate can be argued both ways as to whether ‘a women has the right to choose an abortion’ or whether the foetus should be considered above all else. Everyone has their own individual opinion. 

Some people would say a women should have the right to choose an abortion, as it is her own body and should be allowed to consider having an abortion based on her own beliefs and not having to be forced into a conclusion because of others or feeling they are morally obliged. A woman's body is hers and hers alone. Nobody has the right to make her do something that she does not want to. Most other moral issues human rights come into play however with abortion, religious views often come above that of the individual rights of the women. Many people would say that regardless of morals and belief, a women should always have the right and privacy to choosing to abort her foetus. Now a days, in the modern society sex is seen as more for pleasure than for reproduction this therefore demoralizes the idea that sex is only for procreation which used to be a very large argument against abortion, more women now have sex outside the marriage and therefore it is more common for abortions to take place.

This however doesn’t mean that it is right for this to happen but as it is more common, less people see it as such a disgraceful action.
