Biology is the study of life, the characteristics of organisms and the processes that affect them. It covers topics from Cell Biology to Biochemistry, from Genetics to Ecological Systems and in studying them you'll build an appreciation of both the fragility and robustness of living systems.

A level Biology gives a student a substantial grounding in scientific thinking and analytical skills but in order to achieve you will also need to be able to express yourself clearly and succinctly. Marked by Teachers has a significant number of high quality assignment examples to help you learn and develop those skills with which to succeed in this respect.

Opportunities for further study of the subject exist in Biological Science degree courses and in related fields such as Marine Biology and Zoology. It is also worth noting that Biology is one of thethree Sciences (along with Chemistry and Physics), which are considered fundamental to those who want to go on to study Medicine, Veterinary Science, Pharmacology or Dentistry.
