When I was in my final year of high school, I had a tough Math test. The day before, I had gone to attend a New Year party at my friend’s place and by the time I reached home, I was too tired to study. The next morning as I woke up, I realized I have a test, so on the way to school I tried to memorize my work but it was of no help. I was unable to get anything into my head.

As I reached school, I told Hasan, a close friend of mine to help me out with the problem. He stared at me for a moment and then grabbed my hand pulling me towards his locker. Then, he drove out an innocently looking pen and said “Just take it”. Looks are deceiving for rolled in that pen was a chit of paper that contained the solution to all the questions of the test. At that moment, the pen was worth more than gold to me, yet I hesitated in taking it. It was not that I had never cheated but I had never gone so far. Taking a deep breath of fear, I took the pen and went off for the examination hall.

The annoying loud sound of the bell echoed loudly in my numb brain as I sat on the seat with my name on. When every one was seated the teacher called the role and within minutes she was buzzing around distributing question papers and answer sheets. Then in a loud voice she shouted, “You all may begin”.
