Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau, Austria, a small town across the Inn River from Germany. Soon after Hitler's birth, his father, Alois Hitler, moved the family to Linz, Austria. Hitler attended school in Linz and at first was a good student, but in high school he was a very poor student. Hitler's academic abilities angered his father because his father hoped that Hitler would study to become a government worker as he had been. Hitler, however, wanted to become an artist. In 1907, Hitler went to Vienna Austria. in an attempt to fulfill his dream of becoming an artist. This attempt ended when he failed the entrance exam to the Academy of Fine Arts. When Hitler's mother died in 1907, he decided to remain in Vienna. He took the entrance exam a year later and failed again. He did not have steady work in Vienna, but, instead, took a variety of odd jobs. He lived in cheap rooming houses or slept on park benches and he often had to get meals from charity kitchens. During his time in Vienna Hitler learned to hate non-Germans. Hitler was a German-speaking Austrian and considered himself German. He ridiculed the Austrian government for recognizing eight languages as official and believed that no government could last if it treated ethnic groups equally. In 1913, Hitler went to Munich, Germany and when World War I began in 1914, he volunteered for service in the

Adolph Hitler

Adolph Hitler: Adolph Hitler was born on April 20,1889. This was the beginning with horrible plans for power and control of other people. Some of the things that Hitler did throughout his life were very cruel things; first, he was a man who loved war and fighting. Second, he was in charge of putting all of the innocent Jews into Concentration Camps and killing them. Third, he wanted one dominant race of all the same kind of people. Fourth, he was obsessed by danger. Fifth, he blamed the Jews for the war debt and sentenced them all to die. Therefore, as you can see already Hitler was a very cruel person. The fact that he wanted one dominant race was unbelievably true. First, the fact he would kill everyone one way or another that did not have blond hair and blue eye and was of German descent, was a frightening fact. The idea of this gives me quite a scare myself, because I have brown hair, and brown eyes and would I have been killed just because I did not fit Hitler's physical standards. In addition, Hitler himself did not have blond hair and blue eyes. Next, I do not think that you should judge anyone by the way they look or what they do; that is very wrong. Hitler's idea of one dominant race was a very bad one. Adolph Hitler was born in an Austrian town known as Braunau am Inn. Hitler was the son of a man named Alois. Alois Hitler's father was a Custom

Hitler Youth

Coursework: Hitler Youth ) The Hitler youth was like what we have today the scouts. Hitler created the Hitler youth not long after coming to power and by the end of it, 80% of children were members. For children to become members, they had to pass tests. The boys had to run 60 metres in 12 seconds and jump 2.75 metres. The girls had to swim and do homemaking. In schools teachers had to teach lessons about the Nazis, Germany and how great Hitler is. For example in geography they had to learn about the land that Germany had lost and why they should get it back. PE became a very important part of the curriculum. Hitler had stated that he wanted boys who could suffer pain. PE took up 15% of a school's weekly timetable. Boxing became compulsory for boys. Those who failed fitness tests could be expelled from their schools - and face humiliation from those who had passed such tests. Girls had a different curriculum in some regards as they studied domestic science and eugenics - both of which were to prepare young girls to be the perfect mother and wife. In Eugenics, girls were taught about the characteristics to look out for in a perfect husband and father. The whole purpose of the Hitler youth was to make them believe that Hitler was the best and basically brainwashed them. It was also to build up a stronger generation for the future so Germany had a better army. I believe that

Hitler Youth

History Coursework (a) Explain the nature and purpose of the Hitler Youth movement. The Hitler Youth movement was founded in 1926, and by the time the Nazis came into power in 1933 there were over 100,000 members. The activities that took place varied depending on the branch of the Hitler Youth movement. For example, in the League for German Maidens, for girls between 14 and 17, the activities included sport, childcare, and domestics. Girls did not usually have the chance to take part in sports outside of the Hitler Youth, so this was very popular. These activities prepared girls for their roles as a mother, wife and housekeeper in German society. They learned how to look after children and the home, but, by taking part in sport, also became fitter, meaning they were more likely to give birth to healthy children, which could then become soldiers for Hitler's army. In the Hitler Youth, for boys aged between 14 and 18, the activities were mainly preparation for the army, as the men's role in German society was to become a soldier. It was mostly military training, making the boys tougher, playing games such as rugby, and there were also lots of war games. They were encouraged to be ruthless by the leaders, and violence was associated with fun. Also, the boys would regularly go on camps, teaching them self-sufficiency, which was thought to be good preparation for being a
