The administration assistant is responsible for assisting with administrative tasks within a particular area. This means that the manager will have very few subordinates, which means that the manager does not have to deal with all the subordinates. Some of the advantages of the tall organisational structure are: * It enables managers to supervise their employees closely. * Managers have fewer staff to communicate with, and so are able to communicate more easily with those they have under their command. * It allows people to specialize in the areas they are best at. Some of the disadvantages of a the tall organisational structure are: * In the flat organisational structure the chain of command is very short because there are so few levels sometimes with only one or two management levels.
