Layout: Good basic layout for store; 8 isles. Skin care, cleaning products and pet food isle is located to the back of the store. Not a big store; however holds everything most people within Malmesbury need.
Location: Centred near town centre of Malmesbury. If looking for the best value and a wider range they would have to travel further away from Malmesbury.
Customer service: helpful and pleasant staff; I was told about a blind lady who is helped around the store every week. The woman who showed me around the store and pointing out things like fair-trade products and recyclable produce was extremely helpful. She kept telling me facts about the store and answered all my question appropriately. The woman actually came up to me asking if I needed any help, which I thought showed how helpful she was.

Waitrose Assessment:
Fair-trade Policies: Although we always seek a good deal for our customers, we also expect to offer producers a fair return and develop supportive, long-term relationships with them. This means we can help producers in poorer countries invest for the future, as well as being sure they operate to high ethical standards. Waitrose was the first supermarket to sell loose Fairtrade bananas, thanks to our partnership with a group of 100 small growers on the Windward Islands. We guarantee them a year-round fair price, and regularly send our buyers and agronomy specialists to the Islands to offer advice and help with anything from fertilisers to packaging. All bananas sold at Waitrose are now Fairtrade
Environmental policies: in November 2004 we introduced a 100% biodegradable jute-based wine carrier bag with 20p from every sale donated to the Spiti Project. Waitrose is also trialing alternative materials in its packaging - 50% of our organic range of produce is now available in degradable, biodegradable and compostable packaging. Waitrose has recycled packaging materials such as cardboard and plastic from its shops and distribution centres for more than 20 years. As part of our legal packaging obligation Waitrose spends almost £1 million a year to help recycle consumer packaging.
Car parking: 80 normal spaces, 7 parent and child spaces and 10 disabled spaces. The parent and child and disabled spaces are all located to the front of the store. So as they are easier to access; 2 hours free parking for customers.
Layout: Good basic layout for store; Very good range of produce for sale, Bright colourful designs. Wide isles and good placing of isles with easy to find produce.
Location: In Cirencester, £2.50 on bus, 30 minutes in car.
Customer service: helpful and pleasant staff; customer service desk where you can ask anything. Very easy to find, right next to entrance; always helpful staff who offer to help you all the time!!
The Supermarket I have decided is the best is Waitrose. It has better quality food and a better quality store. It is also very big and has lots of local produce. It is more expensive over all. However I think that the general quality of food is better. The packaging is also very good. The customer is marginally better at Waitrose because of its customer service desk. However the staff are amazing at both stores.
