She Turned around and looked at him; he could spend the rest of his life in the sweet surrender. She ignored him; he called to her again, but she walked on without turning round. He felt invisible, his hope and confidence sank, like the titanic, his self esteem, became a fossil, buried under sediments, under the sea. “I wanted to spend every moment with her”, he whispered to himself, as his tears fell to the ground.
Sean could not cope without his love, so he went to the park where he met her. He knew he had not been dreaming when he saw her; luckily for him, he saw her again. This time she carried herself. Straight and tall. With an air of indifference, of pride. Her hair, long and chestnut brown, brushed neatly, fell just below her shoulders with not a strand out of place.
All the feelings he had before, swarmed back into his heart. He was so sure that she would fall in love with him, because he loved her dearly. His love for her turned to determination, as he followed her in his car. He was prepared to spend the rest of his life in the car, if it meant he would see her always, and watched her smile while she slept he thought, as he continued to look at her silently.
His eyes lit up when he saw the curtains being drawn apart, as the yellow light filled the room. His eyes turned red, he could not stop staring. He did not blink so he wouldn’t miss a thing, as his eyes slowly undressed her. His dreams came true when she decided to change her clothes. His eye balls pierced the binoculars. His breath caught in his throat, as her dress fell suddenly tight across her wide hips, until at last it fell to the floor around her. “I could stay lost in this moment forever”, he moaned softly. As he watched over his love with happiness, and determination, the moon and the stars watched him with disgust. The night was dark, so was his love for her.
When morning drove in, and she went out, he was anxious to know more about
her. So he went into her flat.
As he got into the flat, he slowly caressed everything he touched. His hand moved swiftly across the flat. He noticed something ahead. It was her room; he let his mind rest as he laid on her bed and dreamed far away of what could be. Suddenly he heard an explosion as he woke up from a treasured moment. It was from her flat; it was in flames. “she couldn’t have survived that” he said as he broke down in tears, like a baby. If I can’t be with her in this life, I will be with her in the next.
A gruff voice said, “is that why you admitted yourself to this hospital”, Sean replied, by nodding his head. “I wanted to be with her, just stay awake to hear her breathing. “His Psychiatrist said “did you know that the girl you stalked was a human robot, programmed to speak to certain people only, which is why she ignored you”. A sense of relief hit his heart, like a blow. He took a deep breath, then forced a smile. His mind shattered like glass. Confusion was at war in his heart. He signed softly, as past memories of his love, died with his life. “Every moment I spent with her I treasured. They both went silent for a moment, each with their own thoughts.
