Discussing Beatrice’s comment “Then we all belong in the garbage. You and me too.

This is a great play about a tragic hero Eddie Carbone who worked most of his life for his niece Catherine, Eddie Carbone had a great wife Beatrice, a lawyer Alfieri, and Beatrice’s two cousins who migrated from Italy to America to live with Eddie and their family their names were Marco and Rodolfo. These were the main characters.

   It all started to go horribly wrong when Eddie’s jealousy took over him as his niece Catherine was planning to get married to the immigrant Rodolfo. She was deeply in love with Rodolfo, but Eddie was against it as he thought he was gay and mostly because he deep down wanted her for himself. As he was against it he began to insult Rodolfo several times but Marco, Rodolfo’s big brother started to lose his patience and began protecting his brother but he had to be nice to Eddie as he was providing a roof over there heads and he could informed to the immigration bureau by Eddie. Also he had to be nice as it was Eddies house.

  Catherine was feeling sorry for Eddie as Eddie had brought her up and she knew when he had a pain or was thirsty. He had also been so good to her but as Eddie continuously abused Rodolfo she started to lose her respect for Eddie.

   Eddie thought that his lawyer would have some law against his niece Catherine marrying the immigrant Rodolfo partly because he was jealous, partly because he thought Rodolfo was marrying Catherine to stay in America and partly because he thought he wasn’t right.
