The noise of people shouting frantically was slowly fading, and her mind was simultaneously more at ease than it had ever been before. A connection was made, and while Cassie had no idea what this meant, she resolved to find Grace's parents and explain to them herself. Grace had somehow resembled someone, but think all she might, Cassie could not think who. Pang. Her heart pierced at the thought of her own daughter, whom they had taken away from her when she gave birth. Hope she'd called her. And Hope had been torn out of her life and remained forever out. Conclusion

Cassie jumped up. That was it. Hysterics took over Cassie as she realized what had happened. She'd been in front of her that whole time and she had not seen it. 14 years changes a person, and Cassie could not put into words how much she regretted giving up Grace. 'Stupid, stupid fool! It's my entire fault! Why, oh why?' She was now sobbing uncontrollably, on the floor banging and screeching. It was too late. Grace was well and truly gone this time.
