How does Shakespeare present the two themes of love and hate in Act One of Romeo and Juliet?

“Star crossed lovers”. Romeo and Juliet is the story of two young teenagers who fall deeply in love at a party. However, their families are always fighting from an old argument to a new feud. Therefore they end up getting married secretly. Tybalt who is Juliet cousin is angry at this then he goes to revenge Romeo. In such a way that things get even worsen. Romeo gets banished because he kills Tybalt. A plan to get Romeo and Juliet together goes wrong and they both die. At the beginning of the play there are lots of fights going on between the two families who are the Montague’s and the Capulet’s. Romeo and Juliet are the two main character of the play. Therefore the two main themes of the play are love and hate.

The prologue tells the audience that this play will be about two prominent families of Verona who are bitter enemies. From their old argument a new fight begins. When ordinary people will get hurt by their fights. From the fate of these enemies the lovers end the violence by ending their lives. Two unlucky children of these enemy families become lovers and commit suicide. Their unfortunate deaths put an end to their parents' feud. The play will last for two hours.

 Two servants from the house of Capulet, Sampson and Gregory joke about being better than the Montague’s. “One of those dogs from the Montague house can make me angry". The way these two interact with each other and share their thoughts about Capulet’s seems very aggressive. “They must take it in sense that feel it”.

 Also, the way they talk is very inappropriate and swears too much. Suddenly while they are talking Abram and Balthasar the two servants from the Montague’s appear and they start to argue. Sampson starts the fight first by biting his thumb. Benvolio arrives and tries to stop the fight. "Put up your swords; you know not what you do". As he tries to keep the peace instead Tybalt appears and attacks Benvolio and they both draw their sword and begin to fight. In addition some citizens join in and shout, .
