Introduction

I am standing here today to prove to you that the defendant, Macbeth is not guilty of committing the murders of King Duncan, two guards, Banquo and the attempted murder of Fleance. Although undoubtedly guilty of murder, there is no doubt in my mind that Macbeth is to be blamed entirely. Firstly, you may be thinking that Macbeth is a cruel man, but if I should remind you Macbeth was a brave man because he fought with great courage for his country. So, therefore I can conclude that Macbeth is not the guilty one. Lady Macbeth is. Macbeth was under a constant state of fear and confusion because of his wife as well as the witches. I believe that if there is a culprit for making Macbeth murder, it is Lady Macbeth. She was the ambitious one not Macbeth. She knew she was to blame; otherwise she would have never killed herself. Never. ...read more.
