Leaving Home
Tommy Patton
Prison! As I step cautiously into this dark and gloomy abyss that is the first thing that springs into my young and fragile mind. A small room that resembles the brain, limited yet full of never ending gibberish.
A tiny bed stares at me like a food-deprived cheetah and the enormous figure of the wardrobe almost acts as the room's guard making me feel puny and helpless. A gust of wind suddenly pours into the room causing mayhem. Making the curtains shiver in the cold. After a moment the mayhem is over and the first thing I spot is a small glinting object that has been offering me the only piece of hope in a hopeless environment, my Ipod! This device has let me escape from my own world into a black hole of other peoples problems many times before, but this time it could not stop me from trooping into the real world. Countless nights have been spent thinking of a plan of action, and tonight was the night!
