Introduction

Popcorn (My Short Story) The officer asked how I pleaded to the charges. There was only one thing I could say... G U I L T Y ! ! ! And my mind drifted back to that night when it all happened... My sister was talking to me about her new lovely friend Ben. Well, that's what she called him, and the whole of my family kept saying that they were going out with each other, but they always denied it. Back then I couldn't really see why she could admit it, after all, he was really a nice guy; well to me at least. When we all went out together, he always had money to spare buying me and my sister clothes, food and tickets, so I could not see anything bad about him. This confused me why they denied going out with each other. I don't remember a day when they hadn't see each other. Sometimes I would run upstairs into my sister room, and guess what, without doubt they end up kissing. That night she asked me if I wanted to go to the cinema with her and Ben. I wasn't too sure as I thought I might feel a bit... well, not wanted like a thin kid in Fat Camp. But Ben came around and we started talking, and we were getting on like a house on fire; that's when he asked me to come to the cinema, so we could talk about the other stuff. ...read more.

He had pulled out another one and told me to have it all and not waste it. He said to me very mean, and giving me a dirty look. The cigarette smell was different from normal cigarettes smelt like, it had started to make me feel a little light headed. I asked him what kind of cigarette it was, as it did not smell anything like Jack's dad cigarettes, he started laughing in my face and told me it was not a cigarette but the green herb weed what I called popcorn, and it seemed like for no apparent reason, I started laughing my head off. Ben and I started talking. He told me about how he got all his money selling this weed to people. I said to him, "if I wanted some money", before I had time to complete my question, he gave me 60, 50 and 100. I was amazed, and felt like superman with all that money and my head drugged up. He knew then that I was going to do anything he asked me to do. He gave me a bag and told me after the film had finished to go and wait at the same place where I was. He then said to wait for a man in a red hooded top and white jeans to come along, and give him the bag and then to come home. ...read more.

Conclusion

I was starting to get hungry. I check the church clock where I was going to sleep, it was 11:40 p.m. and I needed some food. I thought to myself there must be a 24 hour shop around here, and I remembered that there was one just a couple of streets away. I started walking there and all I could think about was food as my stomach rumbled constantly. I finally reached the shop when I suddenly realised I had no money. Everything I had was put in the bag, which the tall hairy man ran off with. There was only one thing to do, and would of been to steal something. I could pay them back, but just for the night I was so hungry, this would be a one off. I walked in the shop, walked towards the chocolate bars and picked a hand full, and shoved them in my pocket. My heart was beating like a jackhammer as I walked towards the door. That was when it happened as a police officer walked in the shop as the owner of the shop shouted at me calling me a thief. This tall big officer grabbed me, and I was caught red handed. The officer asked how I pleaded to the charges. There was only one thing I could say... G U I L T Y ! ! !
