Juliet had a gut feeling about the whole situation. She knew it would be a bad idea defying her father but she pursued the idea still. She was having apparitions in which she saw Romeo lying dead at the bottom of a tomb. She hesitated at the thought of marriage and thought out the consequences of taking the tonic over and over again analysing all that could go wrong but still she went on with the plan. Juliet’s undying love was not to be wasted and she refused to give up on the idea of being with Romeo. Juliet felt that she would go to the end of the world for him and as the play ends it is certain that she does. Juliet shouldn’t have deceived and disobeyed her parents. Like Romeo she was too hasty in rushing into marriage. She was already engaged to marry Paris at the time of the ball, and until then, had been very happy with her parent’s choice.
Romeo features a lot in the feuds within the two families. He knew fine well that he would need to abandon the hatred that was present between the two foes and go along with his cloudy confused instinct. It was questionable wither he really loved her or was in love with the fantasy of being in love. But as the story goes on, Romeo gives his life for her. Killing Tybalt was fate. Tybalt killed Romeo’s best friend Mercutio and Romeo psychopathic rage went after Tybalt committed an act of revenge on Tybalt. Romeo was banished which sparked off many problems. Including the plan were Juliet would pose dead. Romeo shouldn’t have asked Juliet to marry him so suddenly, and he should of thought more carefully before rushing back to Verona after hearing of Juliet's death. He also acted violently and without thinking when he killed Tybalt and later Paris.
Friar Lawrence was asked to marry the young couple in secret and at first refused but soon a thought occurred to him that if he married the two the families may reunite and the fighting will be over. Despite all this he should never have agreed to marry Romeo and Juliet in secret. He gave Juliet the sleeping drug, and he was responsible for getting news of the plan to Romeo - the news never reached him, so Romeo thought Juliet was dead.
You could say the tragedy was not the fault of any one individual - it happened because of bad luck. It was fate that Romeo and Juliet met and fell in love, and bad luck that the letter, which could have saved them, didn't reach Romeo in time.
