Friar give Juliet a potion that make her appeal to be dead, so Romeo and Friar can retrieve her in her family’s tomb. Unfortunately, Romeo does not receive the message about the plan, what he hears is Juliet is dead, so he decides to drink a vial poison kill himself beside Juliet’s tomb. This classical romantic play by Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, was performed by five British actors at Lincoln Middle School last Friday and Saturday. I went to the performance on Saturday. Many people were in the auditorium, interested in this classical performance. Unlike the play I seen before, no classical costume in the play, no pretty stage, and only five actors divide twenty-two characters.
The actors really done a good job in acting their places in the play, they express the feeling of each character really well. But the largest problem in this problem, is that one actor act as few characters, it makes me mixed up the roles in the play, for example, David Acton act as Lady Capulet and Tybalt, when Tybalt is dead, suppose to be lying on the floor, David stand up and change his role and become Lady Capulet and crying because of Tybalt’s death. Although there are problems in the play, it is still an enjoyable performance.
