I was walking up the spiral staircase holding a brightly flamed candle. The flame was a tongue feeding on any oxygen it could find. As I walked the floorboards screeched with pain. I couldn't do this, I had to go back, but a fierce force seemed to make me move forwards. I couldn't escape. To my astonishment I noticed a throne-like chair seating a inexplicable figure. It was barely noticeable its head only reached approximately a third of the way up the chair. He had midnight tinted eyes. Its arms dangled down the sides of the chair relaxing. His nails were filthy and long like the claws of a lion. They seemed to be sharp enough to stab a human. Conclusion

The eccentric figure shaked its salt-and-pepper hair out of its eyes and gradually turned his head towards me with its glowing midnight eyes fixed on mine. I woke with a start; my eyelids popped open wide and gasped. It was just a dream; I took a deep breath, relaxed and laid back in to bed forcing the bed cover over my head. It was just a dream. I couldn't sleep after that, so I decided to obtain a glass of milk . I sat up straight in bed and took another deep breath. Then i walked calmly to the window.
