The whole beach itself looks like a painted picture with a spectrum of colours all merged with one another. The sea also showing off a wide range of colours that reflects of the surface, like a dancing peacock showing off its finely detailed feathers. The sun has now reached its destination, high in the sky. Beams of glowing hot rays gleam down towards the delicate succulent sand. The mixture of colours in the sky has faded away, just revealing a clear crystal blue sky with white fluffy clouds slowly passing by.
The deserted beach was calling out to seduce the people with its striking beauty. The sea had now changed from a range of colours to a simple ice clear blue which lightly sparkles and foams as it gushed up the seashore. The perfect painted picture was about to be ruined, people were hypnotised as if they were put under a spell, more and more people were arriving bringing their huge amounts of noise; engine roars, chatter, loud laughter, squeals of young children and blasts of loud music from their radios. The seas smooth surface seemed destroyed; people were cramming in, splashing and playing around. The beach was no longer peaceful as it was a few hours ago, now it’s noisy and busy as though I’m back in the city. The glossy golden sand couldn’t really be seen as it was stabbed with umbrellas, piled with deck chairs and cramped under towels of sunbathing tourists, cooking their white flesh, absorbing the suns rays to the max. No longer was the beach deserted, it was crowded, the sea full of people playing, the shore was being trampled on and there wasn’t one quiet spot to sit at.
Trying to cool down I walk around in search for the once cool, light and refreshing breeze but it had somehow managed to vanish and the beach now feels like a hot baking oven, incredibly hot and humid. The air is thick and had an unusual mixture of smells; varieties of sun lotions, fast foods, salty sea water and sweat, these smells were not exactly the sweetest scent to the nose!
The sun and sea getting tired gradually lose their vibrant energetic glow and warmth, people are starting to leave as they pack up collecting up their belongings, squeeze back into their cars and coaches and drive off. The sea calms once again, and the ripples get smoother. The sand rough and trampled on is happy to breathe again. The sun sinks gracefully towards the horizon, comfortably bedded for a long days rest. Sunless, the beach feels cold; a sharp icy breeze travels from across the ocean pushing itself past me, leaving me shivering from head to toe. The night’s sky is a dark blue, but the moon keeps everything calmly lit. Birds have cleared the sky, and nothing can be heard apart from the calm splashes of the oceans water. Once again, the beach is deserted.
