Virginia Woolf had her own point of view concerning women and men; she had very strong feelings about how women have been treated, and how people value men and women differently. Virginia Woolf was a very strong woman, even though she had a very different attitude of looking at things. She was not afraid of what other people might have though of her, she liked living in her own world; and also she had been living in the world of her stories. She was always thinking about her story, even when she was having dinner, or when she was taking a walk. She was thinking about the next step of her story.
“It’s an introspective, sad and depressing look at three women’s lives that were linked in an interesting and profound way by a novel, Mrs. Dalloway.” (McClure) The movie, “The Hours”, has showed us three different women’s lives. Even though they were living in three different time periods and living in different environments, they were still connecting with each other like a string had tied them together. In the movie, Clarissa Dalloway is a very resolute person; she likes to throw parties for herself, because that makes her look tough, so no one will know all the loneness inside her mind, “I feel like I am living only because of you.” (Dalloway) Those words came from Richard when Clarissa went to his apartment, Richard used his calling-for-help eyes looking at Clarissa, but Clarissa only said to him, “You will be just fine.” (Dalloway) From this moment can you see women are much interesting to men than men are to women?
"Women are like teabags; you never know how strong they are until they're put in hot water." (Roosevelt) Don’t every look down on a woman, because you never know how strong they are until you have really know her from top to bottom, but if someone asked you to choose a stronger person between man and woman, which would you choose? I think most of the people would choose man, just because men look tougher than women are, but that doesn’t mean men are tougher on the inside. From my point of view men maybe look tough on the outside, but women are the one who have the stronger heart on the inside. What I have seen, and known might not be everyone’s answer. I may not yet be in the circle of women and men, but I have been standing right outside of the circle watching them day by day.
