The Fair Ground
The magnificent lights captured every passerby’s eye, until they had no choice but to allow themselves access to the spare ground that had never before looked so attractive. To the right of the car park was a tacky yellow neon light that once long ago spelt, “ENTRANCE”. Instead it now merely spelt “ERAC”. Underneath, a crowd was gathering. At the front of the crowd was a giant of a man who towered over everyone else in the crowd, especially the two young children he had in each hand. The children stared in bewilderment as the giant hurled a mouthful of abuse to the pathetic, defenseless acne-struck teen whose only protection was that of the plastic window of the ticket box the separated the two.
