The Fall
Everyone in their lifetime have had embarrassing moments, some may have a long lasting effect and some may not. There are many embarrassing moments I would love to erase, if I could. Just like any other person, I have had many embarrassing moments. Therefore, for this essay, after spent a lot of time thinking of the most embarrassing moment in my life which is August 21st,2008, the day I fell while performing at my cousin Rehaana’s wedding.
Thursday, August 21st,2008 is the day of my most embarrassing moment till date. Just like any wedding, there is music, dancing and partying. Waiting for a whole two months to attend my cousins wedding and perform for my favorite, lovely grey eyed cousin, Rehaana. The worst that I could expect was falling while performing. For me, It was the day I was waiting for, finally performing at my favorite cousin’s wedding. There was a lot of music and dancing and performances, while I was waiting nervously back stage, in my black halter dress with sliver embroidery, and my black studded heels, which my mom had told me not to dance with since I could fall. As my name was announced, I walked passionately and confidently on stage while everyone clapped. When the music started, I started performing, and as the song continued I knew I was doing the best and the audience was showing they were enjoying my performance. Now was the main part, where I had to twirl and jump, the twirl went so well and right when I jumped, I landed off-stage on the floor. Moreover when I tried to stand up I couldn’t since my left foot hurt. The music stopped and my parents and cousins ran up to me to see if I was alright. Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, I had sprained my ankle.
