The Whispers of Fate

Billy, was a criminal but no one except Grant, his best mate, his brother Elliot and his arch enemy Omar knew it. His parents hadn’t a clue and he had never been caught doing anything major probably because all of his naughtiest crimes he would plan. Although he did get caught stealing a chocolate bar once and a policeman asked for his details and he just came out with fake ones just like that, with no hesitation whatsoever , he was a clever lad, not your average kid some might say. Billy came from a very poor family with a single mum because his dad left the family when Billy was three months old, without a word, they lived in a block of council flats in Hackney borough of London. He slowly got dressed, skipped breakfast and walked out the door without a word of goodbye to his mum. The thing that made the fact of going to school even moor annoying for Billy was that his brother had left last year and was now 17, also, Billy was now in year 10 and he knew that meant a lot more work which he wasn’t really ready for even though he was one of the cleverest people in his year he just didn’t apply it very well.

Billy arrived in school a couple of minutes late but the first thing he heard was ‘’Bill’’ he turned around it was grant.

‘‘Orite mate’’ Billy said they walked down the corridor to their new classroom. No one really knew why Billy, probably the most popular kid in school, picked Grant who was a bit of a nerd at the best of times to be his best mate although they had know each other since primary school and also Grant was quite a big lad for his age so no one really would mess with them as a couplet.
