The Reach as One but Fail as a Team
This was last year of high school and my last year on the team; we started the season off right by being 5-0. We were undefeated and nobody could stop us. This game was the talk of the week at school. Our goal was to win that night and we wouldn't let anything stop us. At the end of the day, I met my goal, but the team didn't.
My alarm woke me up at six o' clock on game morning so I got out of bed to cut it off. I walked out of my room and went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. I looked in the mirror and said to myself ,"Yes today is Game day." I went back to my room and to my surprise I had ten text messages, three voice mails, and four missed calls. All of them were about the game. Of all the messages I had, most of them came from my teammates and the rest from family. The message my teammates sent read, “It’s our time to shine! This is our last year in high school, and we have to go out with a bang!" The messages from my family said, “Good luck and I have their full support.” The voicemail I got from uncle stood out to me. He told me he wouldn't be able to make my game, but he would be listening on the radio. He talked about the touchdowns I made my last game and said I needed to make more this game. I got my clothes and headed to school.
