What can we tell about Lady Macbeth's character from her behaviour in

Act1 Scenes 6&7

In this essay I will be intending to show  that Lady Macbeth is: manipulative, two faced, cold, ruthless and cunning lady .

In scene 6 Lady Macbeth welcomes Duncan with profound loyalty and flatters him, she appears a gracious and loyal host. She makes Duncan feel as if he is I good hands and that she has worked hard to prepare the banquet in his honour. However the real reason she has prepared it is so that Duncan wouldn’t suspect that she wants him killed. As soon as Duncan enters Lady Macbeth greets him with.

“All our service, in every point twice done and then done double” Lady Macbeth Act1 Scene6 Lines:15-16

Then she says:

Join now!

 “Your Servants ever” Lady Macbeth Act1 Scene6 Line 27

 

“To make audit at your highness” Lady Macbeth Act1 Scene 6 Line 29

She says all these things to put Duncan at ease, which it does because Duncan is really flattered and replies with:

 “Give me your hand” Lady Macbeth Act1 Scene 6 Line 30

Lady Macbeth is as ambitious as her husband is. She has already shown in previous scenes that she thinks that Macbeth must kill Duncan to become king. In scene 7, Macbeth changes his mind about killing Duncan - he’s worried ...
