Nicolle Glover 7c Which Was The Best And Which Was The Worst Roman Emperor? A good emperor is someone who makes the right decisions, doesn't kill people and has a good army. A bad emperor is someone who makes all the wrong decisions, kills everyone and has a rubbish army. First of all we have Caligula now Caligula was mad because he had a brain disease. Middle

Next we have Claudius now Claudius was lame and had a problem with the nerves in his bottom lip this made him dribble. As Claudius was lame everybody thought he was weak. He conquered Britain and proved them wrong. This was a very big achievement for him because when Julius Caesar tried he failed. Even though he was lame he was extremely clever. His wife Agrippina made him disinherit his eldest son Brittanicus so her son Nero could become emperor. So Claudius couldn't change his mind Agrippina poisoned a mushroom dish and gave it to him. Finally we have Nero now as you know he wasn't meant to be emperor his brother Brittanicus was. ...read more.

Conclusion

This happened with everything that Nero thought he was good at in the end Nero spilt up with her. Nero got a new girlfriend called Poppea. She persuaded him to kill his mother. The first was poison but it didn't work. The second was a boat which had but together with glue that disintegrated in water this didn't work either. In the end he just got his guards to stab her. I think Claudius was the best emperor because he made the right decisions. He also didn't kill anybody and although he was lame he still had a good army. I think Nero was the worst emperor because he thought he was the best at everything and he killed people. He also wasn't actually meant to become an emperor. ...read more.
