Who is to blame for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet

The way this play is written, it is hard to clarify who is to blame for the death of the two lovers, this is because a lot of charters were involved in some way, and therefore could be to blame for their death.

In this essay I’m going to try and figure out the character that could be classified as the key figure in the death of the two lovers.

The main reason why Romeo and Juliet had problems being together was because of the feud between their families, so the first charters to look at would be their parents. Romeo and Juliet’s families just stayed away from one another, and this was all okay until the day the Romeo attended the Capulet’s feast and set eyes on Juliet.

During the feast Tybalt realised a Montague was in his house and was furious when his uncle tells him to ignore it.

Romeo and Juliet declare their love for one another and decide to marry. Friar Lawrence agrees to marry them as he thinks it might bring the families together. Now I personally think that what Friar Lawrence did was a very stupid thing to do Even though he meant well, his actions where not the right thing to do at the time when both families had pure hatred for one another.
