Israel is a parliamentary democracy with the prime minister as the head of the government. Benjamin Netanyahu, the current prime minister, is elected by the Knesset to serve for a term of four years. Although there is an elected president, the prime minister serves to exercise executive power. There are several different political parties present in Israel which all present views differentiating between religion and politics. The government of Israel tries to maintain being a democracy with basic laws to govern its citizens. Israel contains various religions that each find the country to be home of their sacred city of Jerusalem. Others in Israel are modestly dressed because of their religion, so the styles are inclined to be more conservative. Education is very significant in Israel, where there are three schools, each for a different level of education. All individuals are required to attend at least ten years of school and then some might go on to the intermediate and secondary schools. Some of the schools are based on religion; therefore the students may only be presented with the studies of religion and not the necessary information needed in the real world. The languages of Israel are exceptionally diversified because of the many religions that are present in the country. The country contains two official languages, Hebrew and Arabic, which are widely spoken throughout the country, whereas English has lost its importance. Arabic is required to be taught throughout the schools of Israel, even in Hebrew-speaking schools. The languages of Israel demonstrate the cultures that have been present throughout the country. Entertainment is prominent in Israel, especially in the cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Parties, movies theatres, ballets, and operas are some forms of entertainment that individuals enjoy attending. The youth of Israel enjoy interacting with each other and going to the movies to see the local and international films that are presented.
