Explain how and why the methods used by the suffragettes changed between 1903 and 1915
It was years after the suffrage movement and women still didn’t have the right to vote. This made them very frustrated. Because of this a break away group was founded by Emmiline Pankhust in 1903. It was called the Women’s Social and Political Union. As they became more and more frustrated their methods began to get more and more militant. They stated holding demonstrations, interrupting meetings held by politicians and even chaining themselves to the railings of Downing Street.
