Explain how the following contributed to Hitler’s effective control over Germany:
- The enabling law
- The use of propaganda
- Education, women’s, and youth groups
Hitler managed to keep a very tight grip on the control of Germany even when most of the men were off fighting He wad almost full support of the people whilst fighting a huge collection of nations and feeling some of the worst of war. He did this by using several things among the most important were the Enabling law; the use of propaganda; Education, women’s, and youth groups played a major part in this. I will now discuss how each one gave Hitler this effective control over Germany.
The Enabling law meant Hitler could pass laws without consent of the Reichstag this made him into a dictator, it was passed by the Reichstag in 1933 Hitler had the majority but just to make sure he surrounded the building with Storm troopers. Hitler used this to pass laws quickly and without argument it also meant Hitler could eliminate his enemy before their voice could be heard. It gave Hitler to ban other political parties, trade unions. This meant there was no voice to oppose Hitler and there was no one to question his actions. Anyone who did or anyone who Hitler was worried about was forced to flee, imprisoned or killed by the SA and later the SS as on the night of long knifes. This gave Hitler the ability to quickly pass laws without any opposition from anyone in the Reichstag. This meant he could quickly lay down the legal framework for Nazification.
