How useful are sources B and C in helping you to understand the effects of the blitz on people in Britain?

        Source B shows the devastating reality of the Blitz in one single photograph. The source is useful in understanding the effect of the blitz on people in Britain as the photograph shows the blitz had significant effects on the Britain people at the time with people on the streets helping the wounded and placing the dead in body bags. When looking at face value, the government had to censor the image in order to make sure younger audiences do not get offended but the government was covering the reality of the blitz. The fact that all images had to be approved is suspicious as the government may not want to horrific images to go out to the public, which could give the idea they are losing the war. The source also shows the bombardment didn’t stop when the blitz was officially over in May 1941 as this photo was published in January 1943 “a photograph dated 21 January 1943” which shows the British people were still in danger even after the blitz.

        Source C is useful because it indicates the strength or the British heart and soul, even while they were at war.
