Which ever type of people the business is aiming at is their target market. A market can be segmented according to the characteristics of the customer. If it does not then it might cater for the wrong market segment. It also needs to consider its target market because if it does not then when advertising they might be trying to advertise to teenagers but the advert might not be suitable. The target market for Thorpe Park is form teenagers to people in their mid 30's, men and women. They also cater for all ethnic and religions groups. It is for people that have a good income and a good disposable income. They target people form London and around London as it is near. This is their target market because at the park the rides that they have are for big people and not little kids.
