Without the buffalo, the Plain's Indians whole way of life could not survive

This statement is clearly true, dependence on the buffalo affected their food and shelter, family life, government and family.

The Indians were nomadic because they had to follow the buffalo as it was their only means of food, shelter, weapons and ritual props.

The buffalo provided food for the Indians; the skin could be boiled, baked, dried or eaten raw. The tongue provided food aswell. The bones and horns could be carved into spoons to eat the food with aswell if necessary.

Teepees were made out of the buffalo's skin, and were perfect for the Plain's Indians nomadic and religious lifestyle. They could be moved easily and the circular shape they were set out in and made represented the great circle of nature.

The Indians did not choose to use the buffalo for everything, the reason they did was that there was no alternative.

The Indians sometimes thought that the buffalo were not going to come, so they did a "Buffalo Dance" to hopefully make the buffalo come to them.
