Identify Background detail, user I have been asked by the manager of the restaurant named Eastern Pride to create a system for them. Eastern Pride is a restaurant which serves a range of foods, from Indian, Chinese, Thai and much more. Statement of the problem Mr. Rajesh Patel explained how they are currently performing all calculations for the business manually. This is unreliable and may have errors as people may write down the information and make mistakes and have results which are incorrect. They are completely disorganised and lose important records for the business. Therefore, he has asked me to create a computer system in order to keep all the information and the business will be more efficient. The system requirements are: * Automatically add up all the takings each month * Spreadsheet should display the profits made * The spreadsheet should be password protected so that it won't be tampered with and will remain safe. * The system should be easy to use and straightforward * Staff should be able to print out price lists of the items A computer will be the ideal solution to create the system because it is fast, easy and efficient. ...read more.

It will remain safe and can be used whenever needed. Security strategy Data can be lost, corrupted, altered, deleted and even hacked into by unauthorised users. To ensure that the work and documents aren't tampered with, I will use passwords so that access to data by anyone other than me, is restricted. And also, I can log off or lock terminals when the computer isn't being used and keep files on my personal USB which no one else uses. Design User feedback Dear _________, I am writing this letter in order to inform you of my personal thoughts and opinions on the designs you showed me. Firstly, I'd like to mention that, on the pages for the system, instead of having the logo on the top corner, I think it would look better if you put the business name in the top centre. And for the receipt, I want the items to be left align and the prices to be align right. And also, miss a line after the list of prices and leave it for the total amount. Thank you Mr. Rajesh Patel Manager of Eastern Pride Subtasks 1. get file from manager 2. open excel, and input title and headings 3. list items and prices 4. create combo box 5. create macros, buttons 6. add borders and colours ...read more.
