The main ethnic groups are Whites and Asians. Based on 2006 estimates by the , over 39% of the population is  (32.6% ,  1.1% and other 5%) 38% is  (12.2% , 10% , 8.9%  and other Asian 5.1%), 20% is  (6.5% , 12.4%  and 1.1% other Black), and 1.6% are  and 2.6% are other ethnic groups. ().

IN BUSES: Most of London’s transportation is mainly operated by machines except for the driving that are mainly human being doing that part of the job, some of the technologies used in the buses are the video camera, the oyster tram bus pass and the voice recorder that alerts the passengers the route and the area the bus is driving through

• THE IP CAMERAS: an IP camera is a camera used for electronic motion picture acquisition. This device is mainly used in the bus to help check the behavior of some passengers that are not abiding by the rules of the transport London. Using this device if any kind of violence occurs in the bus it helps the authorities in charge which are the police trace down the suspect and can be arrested. With this device it helps to ensure the safety of the   passengers in the bus

• THE OYSTER TRAM PASS: this is a system that has been installed in the bus to help the customers to pay for the bus fare easily. This system has been in use for quite a long time and has helped both the driver and the passenger why I may say this? I say this imagine there wasn’t anything like this system and we where to pay by using money and there was a point a passenger didn’t have the right amount of money to pay for the fair but rather had a huge amount like twenty pound the driver in the other case would rather tell the passenger to go get the change or he will drive off without the passenger which makes the passenger unhappy but in every business they would like to see a smile on their customers face. But with this system the user can top up his oyster card from any train station or corner shop and can easily use it on the bus without any confusion. This device also detects wrong or false oyster card buy turning red or making the wrong sound which indicates the driver and the passenger there is a problem with the card. It also helps business to run smoothly for the passenger and the driver.

• THE RECORDED VOICE: This is also a device also similar to the video camera but this doesn’t record any pictures but rather records the sound of anything but in this case the sound of a human voice. This helps the people traveling on the bus know the routes of the bus and where it terminates. This device helps mostly tourist and even the people living here, it helps them because if they do not know where they are heading to but knows the name of the area immediately the person hears the recorded voice say it they know they have reached to their destination, it also helps the driver because he doesn’t get interrupted whiles he’s driving avoiding having an accident.

• AT THE COMMUNITY CENTRES: In most community centers like the library there technologies used there e.g. video cameras and the bar code scanner, cash machine and a fire alarm.

THE BAR CODE SCANNER: A barcode reader (or barcode scanner) is an electronic device for reading printed . This device is used in the library to help give up books to people who are entitled to take a book from the library. It helps the librarian detect the people who are trying to take the books home rather than taking it and bringing it back. This device is mostly used in shops and stationary shops it’s an input device used to capture and read information contained in a bar code. The device helps speed up work and gets the accuracy in the system or in the organization. It makes the work of the librarian easier because without it she would have gone through a whole list of books to find the row of the book to give it out a person who wants to borrow the book.

• THE COMPUTER:  A computer is used in the library for those who would rather study or read from the computer rather than using or reading a book. It helps the user to make a research for a particular item a project work given. This device has a lot of programs installed on it, example it has the Microsoft Word where the user can type up any letter or course given it also has the calculator that helps the user to calculate any mathematical problem they have in their math work or anything. This device also has the internet that has so many information to give to the user on the basic things they need to find out about.
• THE FIRE ALARM: the fir alarm is an important technology used in every building in the country for a health and safety reason. It is used in the library to detect and sense of smoke or any type chemical that is exposed in the library. Before an alarm goes off that means is either someone in the library has been smoking or tried to expose something toxic in the library that can be harmful to the people in the library especially the asthmatic patients or the people with weak lungs. The advantages of this devices alerts people of any flammable substance in the building before the situation become serious. Most fire alarms are attached mostly closed to a fire exits that helps the people in the building know where the fire exits are.

• THE BANK: The banks are places where most technologies are used examples are the cash machine, the telephone, computers, touch screen monitors, printer and fax machines.

    CASH MACHINES:  a cash machine is a type of     technology used in place especially banks. A cash machine is a computerized telecommunications device that provides the  of a  with access to  in a public space without the need for a cashier, human clerk or . (Definition from Wikipedia). This device helps the people because without the cash machines they would have to go to the bank and withdraw large amounts of money that will take them through the month but this process has a bad side to it withdrawing large sums of amount the person might be robbed by gangs or thieves but with the help with this machine the person can withdraw a small amount of money without any attention and attracting thieves. This device is available anytime of the in other case without the machine the person will have to wait till the bank is open before the person is able to get access to his/her money. The process of using this device is a safe thing to do because the account the person is kept safe by using a password.
