  1. ICT applications - crime prevention methods have been improved by many new technological devices e.g. databases, CCTV, fingerprinting and speed cameras.

The database has raised many people awareness of the police and made them realise that it might not be as simple as they believed to commit a crime anymore as there are many different and affective ways of finding the ones reasonable. Because the database holds over a million individual fingerprints, this can result in the process being slow as it has to search through each individual file trying to make a confirmed match. Overall the concept of the DNA database with the technology to scan fingerprints into system where they can be matched to previous crimes and individuals is a great asset to the police helping solve many crimes.

Technology has advanced to allow Stephen Hawking to go past his disabilities as he uses a DECTalk DTC01 advanced voice synthesizer to talk and creates messages using simply his cheek-the only part of his body he can use to move. Although this makes it a long tedious process, the whole process of using his cheek to speak shows how far science has gone in the ability to help people. And with technology, people with other diseases and illnesses can also benefit and break the limits of what their disease has done to them.

Even though their both completely different sites, it is still kind of similar. Website one: Thomas Cook Comment: I have looked at this website and it is great in the way it's laid out and the way it's structured. The most flashing thing is their logo which can easily be seen as soon as you go to the website. The logo is located at the top of the webpage. The picture is like a ball which represents the globe, it has got a bit yellow color which represents the sun and has got a bit blue which represents the sea.

  15. My task is to help Type a Flight travel agency to make their things easier, for example to make a computerized database for them so it will be easier for them to find customer records/details.

This could result in upsetting the customer or even losing the customer. Furthermore if they had a database they will have more customers because they will be able to work more efficiently. Currently all the letters are being written by hand. This takes a lot of time and the employers find it really difficult. The solution I had to this problem was that to make templates letters so that they don't lose any time and they can post it to the customers house so that it saves their time and also doesn't waste the staff time in writing the letters by hand.

They can create several forms of information with using these tools, such as paper reports, visual displays, multimedia documents, electronic messages, audio responses, and graphic images. The business development at a local corporation, named GPSIT, goes through several procedures before being completely processed. Information systems take a major part of this practice by sending out e-mails to hot leads and possible buyers. After contacting several customers, a purchase will have accomplished.

    2) How would I have completed the task without ICT? The methods that I would have used to complete the task of promoting the environmental agency without the use of ICT would be things such as creating posters, having some volunteer staff going around doors giving out leaflets and taking to people about becoming members. Also I would also use advertisements in newspaper and magazines to catch people's attention which could make them want to become a member of the environmental agency.
