Research on Different Types of Broadbands

(Report)

This is a FULL investigation about broadbands, the reason for investigating this, is because I will need to write up a report based on what I have found.  Selina Davison is the Managing Director for “FishTank”, a company of web-designers.

I will make extensive research on:

  • What is broadband?
  • Does it cost less?
  • Are there broadbands for all kinds of businesses, whether they are small, medium or large?
  • Is it easy to get access?
  • Does installation cost a lot of money?
  • What features does broadband give you?
  • Does having broadband make it easier to use?
  • How much does it cost per month?

And many more

The broadband I will be looking through are:

  • BTOpenworld
  • Tiscali
  • Aol
  • Freeserve
  • Telewest (Blueyonder)

BTOpenworld

BTOpenworld is probably the best broadband there is, there are so many options for home owners, businesses whether they are small, medium or large.  This gives a variety of discounts and special offers you will find.

I think that this could be more ideal for ‘FishTank’.  I have printed some examples that I think may help the managing director of ‘FishTank’.

The benefits of connecting with BTOpenworld are:

  • Ten additional emails
  • Ten times faster
  • Free installation
  • More features are added
  • Pay up to £27.99+ per month
  • A high speed internet connection with business broadband means you can download and share information faster
  • BT is efficient, reliable and cheap
  • A 24-hour helpdesk is available, for support and advice, at just £13.33 per month

What is broadband?

Business broadband from BT provides your business with ‘always on’ access to the internet and your corporate network at high speeds. There are a range of broadband solutions you can choose from, depending on the number of staff in your business and the speed at which you want to send and receive information.

ADSL is currently enabling a growing number of organisations to:

  • Take advantage of faster download speeds and quicker Internet access than they are currently used to.
  • Avoid having to pay for internet access each time their business uses the internet or email because it’s an ‘always on’ service. They only pay a set up fee and a fixed monthly payment for all data calls.
  • Receive and make voice calls, while logged on to the internet.
  • Manage data communications costs more effectively.

Tiscali

Tiscali is also ideal for businesses; on the website it is ...
