Using the wizards, different types of websites can be built using different techniques easily. This means, every person who knows how to use the wizards will be able to build a website of their own with the layout and the format they want it to be. Basically, the advantage of using a wizard to produce a website is that it is easy to use, quick, and does not need memorizing or using any codes but has built functions and commands that can be used to create a website.
However, using a wizard to produce websites has disadvantages as well. Using the wizard is very easy that almost anyone can build a website; this means that people can build websites for wrong purposes and include inappropriate information in the website. The other disadvantage is that some wizard might only have a limited number of commands and functions to work with; this would limit the number of techniques the builder can use to create and design their website.
The other way of creating a website, as mentioned, is using the HTML coding system. This is when builders use the codes standing for different formatting functions. It is beneficial in giving the website different appearances. The advantage of using HTML is that it enables the builder of a website to improve the appearance of the website and the functionality of it using the codes. It is easier than using the wizard because using a wizard, the builder can only use the available commands in the application; for instance, the application might not have the option to change the font to a particular font, but using HTML, the font can be changed to the wanted font style without having to find the command. However, the builder should have an understanding of what the codes stand for and what code to use when carrying out an action.
At the same time, using HTML has disadvantages as well. In order to be able to use HTML, the producer of a website should be able to know what codes are there that would help improve the appearance of the website; they should also be able to keep an account of all the symbols and letters used in the code. This can be very hard sometimes! However, the builder doesn’t necessarily have to know what the code means as long as they know what it does.
Basically, ICT has a massive amount of options; same task can be carried out using variety of techniques. The ways a website can be produced is either by using a software wizard or HTML coding. Each of the options has both advantages and disadvantages; for some producers it might be easier to use one of these ways and for others the other one.
