In this movie Wall-E people have become so dependent on technology that its almost an addiction

        All the people in Axiom are consumed by technology. It tells you what to do and when to do and even how to do. People are waited on by the robots, sitting on their chairs, so that they don’t even have to walk or get up from their chairs at all. They are on their screen for 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Their screen block themselves from the outside world and recognizing what is going on in Axiom. They are exposed to their technology too much that they barely had any contacts with the people in their real life. When John and Mary, who are passengers on the Axiom, they first meet each other by accident which was like a magical moment. They never have talked before without turning on their screens but, finally they look at each other’s eye in real world.

        All the people in Axiom didn’t do anything for the past 700 years. Auto has controlled the spaceship for 700 years because all the captains have just let him take over and do everything for them. Eventually the captain fights back because he realizes that he didn’t do anything and he must do something before it’s too late. He has to physically turn off Auto because robots are not easily destroyed like we are. The pilot saves the plant and does everything by himself to send the humans back to Earth where they belong.

        Technology such as Eve and Wall-E are doing tasks that humans also could do easily by themselves. Humans don’t necessarily need robots to clean up the Earth when we can do it ourselves. But humans choose to let robots to do it for us because humans are just too lazy to do it by ourselves. EVE, the extraterrestrial vegetation evaluator, was created so that the humans on the Axiom wouldn’t leave their ship to decide whether they could go or not. Instead they just sent a robot to check if it’s habitable for the humans. By having these there aren’t any problems but people are being too dependent on robots and not doing the things that we should do by ourselves.

        In the end, Wall-E ends up saving the Earth and helping humans restore life on our planet. The robots help the humans and redevelop the Earth into what it used to be before people left the Earth for their ten year “cruise” on the Axiom. The massive misuse of technology and its negative effects has ruined the Earth. Who knows if this is going to happen in 100 years or maybe even in 50 years. So people should save this beautiful planet and wish that this would never happen.
