A) Recently, I spent the holidays in France with my family. We were in France from the 23 July to the 7 August. We stayed at the Hotel Paradis in Orange where I spent 2 weeks with my parents and my little sister. Every day we did excursions by car.
B) One day for example, after deciding where to go, we went to Nîmes.
During the morning we walked round the town-centre. When we were hungry we stopped to have a picnic at the park. After having lunch we visited the Pont du Gard. We walked up to the top.
C) On Saturday 20 July we visitited friends in Avignon. Unfortunately my dad lost his camera when we were going for a walk. In the evening our friends suggested that we could have supper with them in a restaurant. It was delicious.
D) Another excursion which we did was to Marseilles where we decided to visit the cathedral. After coming out of the church we did a tour of the old port where we saw the fishermen who were working. Afterwards, we did a short boat tour around the bay.
E) Before returning to England, we decided to spend the weekend in Nice where the weather was so fine that we were able to relax on the beach. At the end of the holidays we travelled north to spend a night in Chartres to be able to visit my French penfriend. It was end of a wonderful holiday.
