Put like that, this method of transport sounds extremely convincing, but Britons still have an amazing 21 million bikes simply locked away in their garages, sheds simply left to rust. I think that there could be a way to contract this problem. Just think, how much is your local government doing to promote the use of bikes? How many safe cycle routes are there in you area? And also would you even consider riding to work, school or college if you thought seriously about the dangers on our roads? I personally think that the government should do more to promote the use of bikes, and much more. ...read more.

Conclusion

And also our roads will need less maintaining if used primarily by bikes, or if there are safe cycle routes off the main roads. I urge to consider the points raised in this article, and if you agree with them, DO something about it. There are a number of things you could do. For instance write a letter to you local or national government persuading them that bikes are a useful method of transport and will be a great help to our economy if better cycle routes are introduced. If enough people were to do this then something would have to be done. However, probably the most helpful and useful thing you could do most of all would be to ride you own bike! ...read more.
