Conclusion

Having weighed up both opinions, I still agree that it is not possible to be a true disciple of Jesus in a modern world. People today are not as religious and are interested in more materialistic possessions. They are too concerned with the luxuries of life and are too selfish to "deny self" and help suffering others. Violence and war is a regular occurrence around the world today and people say they are too busy to try and help these people solve their problems. Many people also lack faith and may find it hard to follow Jesus, as he is no longer physically with. ...read more.
