Attending the service of Holy Communion is the most important

Way for a Christian to worship

The biblical record of Jesus’s life shows that Jesus was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, taught throughout the wealthy, poor and the lowest of low. It also says that the aim of why Jesus was on earth in the first place is because at that time Christians where living lives full of sin therefore no Christians would go to heaven. That is the reason why God in the form of Jesus went to earth. His purpose was to straighten the lives, which people where taking and to show them how they should live their lives if they want to enjoy the reward of heaven. However near to the end of Jesus’s life he was crucified on the cross because many people did not believe him as the Son of God. The night before the crucifixion Jesus and his disciples ate together which is known as the last supper. At this meal Jesus took bread, and gave thanks; broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take and eat; this is my body given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me. Again, after supper, he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it for all to drink, saying: This cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this for the remembrance of me. Therefore Holy Communion is the body and blood of Jesus Christ given with bread and wine, instituted by Jesus himself for us to eat and drink. Bread and wine is symbolic today in the 21st century because it has been carried on from two thousand years ago when the last supper took place.

     Though is nearly 2,000 years ago when Jesus commanded that Christians should eat bread and drink wine in remembrance of him. The fact that it is still carried out amongst churches, homes etc is share volume of how important Holy Communion really is. The whole point of Holy Communion is that the bread, which is broken, symbolizes the breaking of his body and the wine, which is poured, is to portray the blood, which was spilt.
