Does God Really Exist? The statement, "God exists," is a precisely stated proposition. Thus, it is either true or false. The simple fact is, either God exists or he does not. Who is correct? Does God exist or not. In this essay I am going to discuss the existence of God. ...read more.

The Dead Sea Scrolls and other archaeological discoveries continue to substantiate the historical accuracy of the Bible. The Bible was written over a 1500-year span, in different locations and on separate continents, written in three different languages, covering diverse subject matters at different points in history. Yet there is an astounding consistency in its message. Throughout the entire Bible the same message appears: 1. God created the world we live in, and created us specifically to have a relationship with Him. 2. He deeply loves us. ...read more.

It is like if someone refuses to believe that people have walked on the moon, then no amount of information is going to change their thinking. Satellite footage of astronauts walking on the moon, interviews with the astronauts, moon rocks...all the evidence would be worthless, because the person has already concluded that people cannot go to the moon. We purely get our evidence from The Bible. The Bible is all the evidence Christians need to believe but other people may believe in other Gods and may have their own evidence to believe from. I believe in God and have evidence from The Bible but others have their own faiths to believe from, we have a lot of evidence to state that Jesus exists and that is why I believe. ...read more.

The fact that God does not do this leaves no doubt that God does not exist. The final and probably the most important point that atheists use to prove that god does not exist is Charles Darwin's theories about evolution, and natural selection and his idea about survival of the fittest.

  2. Does God Exist?

It just shows how we need reasons for believing something to exist, for example, one needs reasons for believing the existence of god, and not simply a definition of what god might be if he existed. And quite frankly, Anselm's ontological argument does not have reasons to explain the existence

  1. God Exists. God Does Not Exist. Discuss

These purely philosophical arguments for the beginning of the universe have received remarkable confirmation from discoveries in astronomy and astrophysics during the century. These confirmation might be summarized under two heads: firstly the confirmation from the expansion of the universe and the secondly the confirmation from thermodynamic properties of the universe.

  2. A Big Bang Cosmological Argument for God's Nonexistence

One of these positions is to allow that particular things within the universe may spontaneously begin to exist, but that the universe itself cannot spontaneously begin to exist. The causal principle that is synthetically a priori is not (P1) but the weaker one (P2), that it is impossible for being to arise uncaused out of absolutely no thing.

Another reason for why people believe in God is the concept of 'the grand design'. This concept was first considered, again by a philosopher named William Paley who lived in the 16th century. He alleged that objects are good at what they do because they have been well designed because they have been designed with precision and care.

  2. Does God exist?

I hope I do not sound cold and condescending with my statistical interpretation of near-death experiences, but I value truth above everything else. At the same time, I realize truth is not a virtue. Situations can arise where the moral course of action is to lie, to spare someone's feelings

  1. Does God Really Exist?

It is logically inexplicable for them. But to the magician himself, it is just another trick and is logically explicable because he has the knowledge about it. When he shows how he performed the miracle, it remains no longer a "miracle" to us.

  2. Does God exist and if so where is He - where can He be ...

They were abused in some way, perhaps, or given bad counsel, or snubbed. They were right to expect better behavior from those who represent God. Such bad treatment disappointed and hurt them; and it led them to doubt or deny God.
